  • No Prohibitions: You must not have any criminal convictions or be subject to any prohibitions that would prevent you from becoming a citizen.

The Application Process: Step-by-Step

  1. Gather Your Documents: Collect all necessary documents, including your PR card, proof of language proficiency, and proof of physical presence.
  2. Complete the Application Form: Fill out the Application for Canadian Citizenship (CIT 0002) accurately and completely.
  3. Pay the Application Fee: Submit the required processing fee.
  4. Submit Your Application: Send your completed application and supporting documents to the designated processing center.
